I didn’t know about the Doctor Doom homage! Was that something I missed in the Clone Wars series or are they from the new season I haven’t watched yet? I can’t imagine how I missed that. Because looking him up, yeah, it’s a pretty obvious parallel. Also, is Clone Commander Doom a bad guy?? Because Doctor Doom is (most often, outside of a brilliant redemption arc written by Brian Michael Bendis and then ignored by every other writer Marvel has) kind of the worst so I’m wondering how far the homage goes.

Commander Doom appears in “The Unknown”, the first episode of season 6. He serves with Tiplee and Tiplar, and is present when Tup executes Tiplar. They don’t actually name drop him in the episode, but the armor obviously hints at the homage. And then, after the episode aired, they confirmed his name in the episode guide.

Oooooooh, okay, gotcha. I clearly wasn’t watching close enough. Although, in my defense, some HEAVY $#!T goes down in that episode so I think I might…uh, yep, yeah…I just forgave myself for the oversight.

What happens in that episode that is heavy? All that happens is Tup executing a Jedi.
