You know, many of them have veeeeeeeery quietly been pulled into the Disney canon under the radar.

You thought Darth Millennial was fake!?!?!?! Ha, that is funny. Yeah, he was very much real in the EU. They retconned him in some interesting ways throughout the EU after his first appearance.
So, they are doing very subtle things here and there that establish some (not all) of these Dark Lords. For example, Darth Andeddu is name dropped in an issue of Return to Vader’s Castle and Exar Kun gets a mention in the sourcebook Gadgets and Gear.

If you like that book, be sure to read The Bane Trilogy. It’s just as good and gets even deeper into the Sith as movers and shakers.
